The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway has a total length of approximately 1,877.15 meters, crossing Mount Fuji at an altitude of 1,044 meters. The round-trip journey takes about 16 minutes, allowing you to easily travel around Sun Moon Lake and enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the lake and mountains. Present the electronic voucher (QR Code) at the attraction's redemption point to exchange with staff or scan it at the kiosk for use.

Present the electronic voucher (QR Code) at the "Matou" Boat Fleet (Shuishe Pier) redemption point. Once staff scans the QR Code for verification, you can exchange it for a physical paper ticket to board at the designated pier.

This is an electronic ticket (QR Code); no physical tickets will be sent separately.
Boarding Location: No. 102, Zhongzheng Rd., Yuchi Township, Nantou County
Entry Instructions: Present your electronic voucher (QR Code) at the self-service ticket machine at the 2F service desk of Sun Moon Lake Ropeway Station for verification and exchange for a physical ticket. Then, take the physical ticket to the 3F boarding platform gate and scan the QR Code for entry.

You can present your order QR Code at any of the following shops to rent a bicycle.

Payment must be completed within one hour of order creation. The system will automatically cancel the order if the payment deadline is exceeded.
The system does not provide an order modification function. If you wish to change the quantity, you must refund the ticket and reorder.
Once any item has been redeemed or used, no refunds or returns will be accepted.

｜Sun Moon Lake Ropeway

Operating hours may be extended for major events (such as the Cherry Blossom Festival). Operating hours may also be adjusted due to weather conditions, power outages, or system maintenance.
The first Wednesday of every month is the maintenance day for the ropeway and is closed to the public. If there is a need for annual major maintenance, additional closure dates will be announced. 【Click here to view】

｜Product Redemption

The package has a 14-day validity period. All products must be used within 14 days (including the day of first use) after the first product is activated. Example: If the first product is activated on January 1, 2026, the final expiration date for all products is January 14, 2026.
Please be sure to check the operating hours of the redemption stores. If redemption is unavailable during a specific period, please redeem during other normal operating hours within the validity period.
Once any product or gift in the package has been redeemed or used, no returns or refunds will be accepted.
This ticket is limited to one person per ticket. Each electronic ticket can only be used once.
In accordance with the "Regulations on the Suspension of Work and Classes During Natural Disasters," if local governments announce a suspension, or if other management units close the area for safety, the organizer may postpone or cancel the activity with prior notice. ｜Sun Moon Lake Ropeway

The Sun Moon Lake Ropeway electronic voucher is valid for one person per ticket and is limited to one round-trip on the day of use.
As this is a ropeway-only ticket, it does not include admission to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village.
Passengers may only board from the Sun Moon Lake Main Station (Ita Thao); entry from the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village Terminal is not permitted.

Seasonal thunderstorms often occur in the Sun Moon Lake area. For safety, the facility will be suspended during lightning risks. We recommend checking the 【Official Website】 or calling to confirm status before your visit.
Bicycles, unboxed pets, and other large or sharp hazardous items are prohibited (except for guide dogs).
Smoking, eating, drinking, and chewing gum or betel nut are prohibited inside the cabins.

｜Sun Moon Lake Sightseeing Boat

Physical tickets are non-registered valuable vouchers. Please keep them safe after redemption. If lost, burned, damaged, or expired, they will not be reissued or replaced.
For safety reasons, navigation will be suspended if the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration announces a closure due to thick fog, typhoons (Nantou County suspension of work/classes), or poor weather.
If voyages are delayed due to force majeure such as weather, no refunds or compensation may be requested.
Bicycles can be brought on board for a cleaning fee of NT$100 per bike. Due to different boat models, not all boats can carry them; please inquire with staff in advance.
