Qingjing Farm’s Green Grasslands span tens of hectares of lush greenery, home to hundreds of sheep and cattle. Snowmelt from Hehuan and Qilai Mountains feeds the deep valleys, nourishing the Sun Moon Lake with crystal-clear streams. The highest peaks of Taiwan’s Central Mountain Range—Qilai North Peak, Qilai Main Peak, Nanhua Mountain, Nenggao Mountain, Antongjun Mountain, and the Hehuan Mountains—form a towering natural wall. This wall delays the morning light, traps the early mist, and creates magnificent cloud seas from the clouds cascading over the mountains from Hualien into the Zhuoshui River Valley. The Qingjing Skywalk is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,700 to 2,000 meters. Spanning 1.6 kilometers in length and 2.5 meters in width, it connects the existing old trail near the Qingjing Guest House to the Green Grasslands Story House. Designed with an eco-friendly elevated structure that blends seamlessly into the natural landscape, the trail traverses meadows and forest canopies while staying clear of roads. Visitors can safely hike while admiring sheep grazing on the grass, birds hopping through the treetops, and other ecological wonders. Multiple scenic platforms are placed along the trail, allowing travelers to pause, enjoy the cool breeze, and take in panoramic views of the Central Mountain Range, Zhuoshui River Valley, and the brilliantly clear blue sky, far purer than that seen from the lowlands.
